News story is here. Amazingly brilliant, isn't it?
NOTE: Anybody in the United States must change their clocks back one hour Saturday night. Otherwise you will arrive early at work on Monday. That could be a good thing if you are usually late.

Saturday, while out alone in search of a new vacuum, I dined at Burger King. I studied the menu and decided on a Whopper Jr.™, Small Fries, and a Medium Coke Icee™. The cost was $3.93! Now, I could have gotten a Crispy (or grilled) Chicken Salad™ and a drink but the salad ALONE costs $5.49! So ultimately, it costs more to eat healthfully than to eat greasy junk. So where is the incentive to eat more healthfully when we all know the burger and fries are going to taste better anyway?
On the positive side, I didn't see the Freaky King™ even once.
What a relief!

So I got a hair cut last Friday. While admiring the style and quality of the hair cut, I realized my hair looked a bit lighter in color than it had previously. “Cool!” I thought. I went around thinking my hair had self-lightened without the assistance of anything out of a bottle. Upon closer inspection though, I realized it had gotten lighter because some of it has gone GRAY!! I suppose that happens to all of us in our middle years, but really!
And, why is it that hair stylists call everybody “hon” or “sweetie” ? They don’t know me that well! Is it to imply a feeling of caring? Closeness? Familiarity? I find it odd.
Speaking of hair…

Today is the ginger-haired prince’s 25th birthday. He has just become a multi-millionaire. Nice gift, eh? But it was a bequest from his late Mum. Heck of a way to get money. His full name is: Prince Henry Charles Albert David Windsor. I imagine rich people can afford more names than the rest of us. I’m wondering why he doesn’t go with Davy or Al instead of Harry. Then he could use Paul Simon’s song, “Call me Al” as his theme song. I’d like to have my own theme song! Not sure what it would be though and I can’t afford one, but Harry could!
Another famous/infamous ginger-haired personality is having a birthday today:

Today is Bofur’s 5th birthday. His full name is: George Bofur, the Earl of Unabashed Attention Seeking. It isn’t really but I thought I’d give him some respectability for his birthday. He is utterly shameless in his neediness. I think he’s forgotten he’s a cat and supposed to be above seeking human interaction. That photo makes him look like he’s been at the catnip a bit! He does love the stuff. Poor addicted cat.
I may also have allergy symptoms but thanks to excellent drugs, I'm able to function, sort of. I feel drowsy and a bit fuzzy minded but over all can function and go to work. I could call a sickie but why stay home when I can share the joy?
Hopefully this is my one cold for the year. I usually get only one.
Do you think stress contributes to illness? I don't usually get sick and rarely feel very much stress at work. Because of all the turmoil at work and changes happening and looming in the near future, going to work is not as enjoyable as it had been. Or, it could be I just got careless and rubbed my eye before washing my hands. You wouldn't believe how dirty our hands get handling books and other materials that go across the Circulation Desk. The Great Unwashed Public strikes again!!
They're out to get me I tell ya!
